MAKEOVER DIET

Changing to the Health Makeover Diet is difficult but pays big dividends.  The Health Makeover Diet will change your life.  You will:

  • LOOK BETTER
  • FEEL BETTER
  • LOSE WEIGHT
  • HAVE MORE ENERGY
  • BE HAPPIER
  • BE HEALTHIER

THE HEALTH MAKEOVER DIET IS TWO DIETS.  There are two Health Makeover Diets.  For those people who cannot start off with the strict Health Makeover Diet there is another diet, a Transition Health Diet to use for a few months until ready to go on the strict Makeover Diet.

PERSONAL DIET.  This diet can be used as a foundation to build a personal diet.  Just try to avoid processed food as much as possible, and eat plenty of raw vegetables and fruits.  Also, before purchasing processed foods, be sure and read the list of ingredients and avoid those foods containing MSG and the other Killer Foods.

FOODS EXCLUDED ON THE MAKEOVER DIET:

  • PROCESSED FOODS
  • KILLER FOODS
  • MILK PRODUCTS
  • REFINED SUGAR AND FLOUR
  • EGGS
  • NUTS
  • SHELL FISH
  • FISH WITHOUT SCALES
  • REFINED VEGETABLE OILS
  • THE MAKEOVER DIET FEATURES:

  • LOW GLYCEMIC
  • HIGH CARBOHYDRATE
  • LOW FAT
  • LOW PROTEIN
  • RAW VEGETABLES AND FRUITS
  • DIET BY BLOOD TYPE
  • LOW GLYCEMIC.  Glycemic effect is what a food does to your blood sugar level.  There are two measurements of the glycemic effect of foods.  The first to be introduced was Glycemic Index (GI), and it measures the affect that a food has on blood sugar.  Now Glycemic Load (GL) is most often used, since it measures the blood sugar affect of a typical serving of the food.

The foods listed on the Makeover Diet are all low glycemic.  The high glycemic foods have been eliminated.  Low glycemic foods are essential to weight loss.

HIGH CARBOHYDRATE.  High carbohydrate, low glycemic foods are very healthful.  They are vegetables and fruits, which fuel your body with calories and supply adequate vitamins, minerals, and enzymes when eaten raw.  These foods should be a substantial part of the diet, as they promote health and wellness, and weight loss.

LOW FAT.  A high fat diet and low metabolism cause obesity.  Fat is addictive, and trans-fat is especially addictive.  Obese and overweight people typically eat foods high in trans-fat.  The way to weight loss starts with eliminating trans-fat from the diet.

LOW PROTEIN.  Vegetables and fruits are low protein.  They are high acid, but reverse pH signs and become alkaline when assimilated.  When the body is alkaline disease cannot exist.  High protein foods are alkaline, but after assimilation, they reverse pH signs, and turn acid, producing mucus.  All disease, including cancer, must have an acid, mucus laden body to exist.  Therefore, a low protein diet promotes good health.

RAW VEGETABLES AND FRUITS.  Your diet should have raw, natural foods, which are high in digestive enzymes before they are cooked.  When foods are cooked, the enzymes are destroyed.  Enzymes begin to breakdown at around 115˚ f.  Cooked foods put a burden on the digestive organs.  When properly cleaned, vegetables and fruits can safely be eaten raw.  The enzymes in raw foods speed up digestion, and the fiber helps in elimination of waste.   Raw vegetable and fruits are easy for the body to digest and assimilate.  Raw foods aid in weight loss.

STRICT VEGETARIANS AND ANEMIA.  Strict vegetarians sometimes develop anemia.  There are many theories why some do and some do not develop anemia.  Vegetarian should visit their doctor and be tested periodically or when they are bothered by low energy.  The two forms of anemia that affect some vegetarians are pernicious anemia (vitamin B-12 deficiency) and iron deficiency anemia.  Both forms of anemia can be caused by the lack of red meat in the diet.  The anemia problem can be possibly be alleviated by having 10-ounces of red meat once a week or by taking food supplements.

The food supplement for B-12 deficiency is subliminal B-12, which is a small pill that is placed under the tongue and allowed to dissolve.  This form of B-12 supplement is absorbed directly into the blood, avoiding the absorption problem when capsules are swallowed.

Great care must be taken with iron supplements.  Iron deficiency should be diagnosed by a healthcare professional because the symptoms of low and high iron levels are the similar.  If iron capsules are prescribed they must be an iron chelate (iron bound to an amino-acid) to avoid damage to the intestines.  Again, seek professional advice before treating iron deficiency because too much iron can cause death

DIET BASED ON BLOOD TYPE.  Foods incompatible with blood type cause blood cells to clump together affecting the body’s organs.  Foods that clump together are bad, because they act like poison and create a toxic condition.  The other foods are good, because they act like medicine and allow the body to detoxify.  Eating foods compatible with blood type helps the body with a positive, healing health affect, and weight loss.

BLOOD TYPE O.  Type O is the slightly largest blood type group making up 46% of the population.  They have a very hardy digestive system, which produces a lot of acid.  Unlike the other blood types, ‘O’s thrive on heavy physical exercise, a moderate amount of meat, poultry, and fish.  While ‘O’s digest heavy protein very well, they should eat a balanced diet including meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, and small amounts of raw fruits in order to keep their pH down.  ‘O’s should strictly avoid milk products because they are susceptible to digestive disorders.  They are also vulnerable to low thyroid function and should eat fish and take kelp supplements to improve thyroid function.

BLOOD TYPE A.  Type A is the second largest blood type group and make up 42% of the people.  They have a very delicate, low-acid digestive system.  Type ‘A’s thrive on a vegetarian diet, and less strenuous exercise.  They should eliminate all meats and poultry from their diet.  Milk products are not digestible and should be avoided.  Type ‘A’s cannot tolerate wheat, but do well eating other grain products.  However, be cautious because allergies can develop when grains are eaten daily for extended periods.  It is best to eat grains occasionally and not daily.

BLOOD TYPE B.  Type B is the third largest blood type group making up 9% of the population.  They are somewhere in between Type ‘O’ and type ‘A’.  Type ‘B’s should follow a more balanced diet and get plenty of moderate exercise.  They tolerate milk products better than ‘O’s and ‘A’s, but should be careful not to overeat them, because they can easily develop a milk allergy.  Type ‘B’s cannot tolerate wheat products, so anything containing wheat should be avoided.

BLOOD TYPE AB.  Type AB is the smallest blood type group making up only 3% of the population.  Type ‘AB’s should follow a balanced diet and get plenty of light to moderate exercise.  They also tolerate milk products better than ‘O’s and ‘A’s, but should be careful not to overeat them, because they can easily develop an allergy.  Type ‘AB’s tolerate brown rice and oats.  Other grains should be completely avoided.
