KILLER FOODS

By 30 years of age the average person has watched 500,000 slick TV food commercials.  Each one urges us to eat more of their junk food.   We are brainwashed into believing that a diet of killer foods is good for us.

TRANS-FAT.  Foods containing Trans-fat should never be consumed, because it alone is the cause of most disease-related death in this country today.

Much of the fat in the typical diet is either hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated.  It is called Trans-fat because it is transformed from unsaturated to saturated fat by heating vegetable oil to over 500 degrees for 6-8 hours and then forcing it through a nickel nozzle under high pressure.  This creates a plastic, artificial food that is devoid of essential fatty acids, does not turn rancid, is stable at high temperatures, makes fried foods crispy and baked goods flaky.  Foods high in Trans-fat are margarine, processed cooking oils, donuts, french fries, potato chips and commercial baked goods.

Most commonly used vegetable oils are polyunsaturated.  When used to fry foods they breakdown and create copious free-radicals which cause health problems, including cancer and heart disease.  Virgin olive oil is the best of all oils.  It is mono-unsaturated, and cleans the arteries of plaque.  When used for cooking, it does not create free-radicals.  People living in countries using mostly olive oil live longer and have less disease.

The Cancer Society and Heart Association strongly recommend that margarine and other hydrogenated fats be eliminated from the American diet.  Weight loss and good health come with avoiding trans-fat.

ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS.  Among the many thousand reactions reported to the Consumer Safety Network are grand mal seizures, brain tumors, blindness, liver damage, and other severe health problems including deaths.

Food and drinks sweetened with Aspartame or Neotame should never be consumed.  Both sweeteners are sold by the product name NutraSweet.  They are dangerous chemicals that have caused many serious, adverse reactions.  They are both neurotoxins, which break down into formaldehyde (embalming fluid) and formic acid (ant sting venom).  These chemicals have caused seizures and "holes in the brains" of test animals.

Nearly eighty percent of all FDA complaints pertain to adverse reactions caused by artificial sweeteners.  The evidence shows that artificial sweeteners should be strictly avoided.

  • MALADIES BLAMED ON ASPERTAME AND NEOTAME.  anxiety attacks, brain tumors, breathing difficulties, chronic fatigue syndrome, death, depression, dizziness, epilepsy, fatigue, headaches, hearing loss, heart palpitations, insomnia, irritability, joint pain, loss of taste, memory loss, migraines, multiple sclerosis, muscle spasms, nausea, numbness, rapid heart beat, rashes, ringing ears, seizures, slurred speech, vision problems, and weight gain.

Another dangerous artificial sweetener is Sucralose.  It is sold as Splenda and is another substance to be avoided at all cost.  Splenda is chlorinated table sugar.  Chlorinated molecules accumulate in body fat and tissues.  It is commonly publicized that Sucralose passes through the body unabsorbed, but FDA research says otherwise.  According to FDA tests, 11% to 27% of Sucralose is absorbed, and tests by the Japanese Food Sanitation Council show that up to 40% is absorbed.

  • MALADIES BLAMED ON SUCRALOSE.  acne, blisters, burning skin, cramps, crying jags, diarrhea, dry heaves, seeing spots, emotional breakdown, fibromyalgia, food poisoning symptoms, forgetfulness, headaches, moodiness, nausea, panic attacks, seizures, skin rash, swelling, and welts.

MODIFIED FOOD ADDITIVES.  Modified food additives are high in MSG (Monosodium Glutamate), and MSG has been linked to uncontrollable hunger and cancer.  The typical diet is largely made of of processed foods, and most of these foods contain MSG.  Foods commonly contain MSG even when they are labeled contains no MSG! The MSG is disguised as Hydrolyzed Protein, Modified Food Starch, Natural Flavor, Vegetable Broth, and other additives.  These chemicals are used to thicken and enhance the flavor of food and are added to such foods as prepared soup, chili con carne, flavored potato chips, dry roasted peanuts, and salad dressing.  MSG can elevate the pulse and blood pressure, cause uncontrollable hunger, and migraine headaches.  Studies have linked MSG to Cancer, Obesity, Asthma, and Diabetes.

Food labels must be carefully read in order to avoid MSG.  Read the labels on processed foods and you will be amazed at how many foods contain MSG as modified food additives.  It is best to exclude processed foods from your diet altogether just to be sure and avoid MSG.  Weight loss and good health are nearly impossible for those on a diet of processed foods.

  • POSSIBLE SYMPTOMS OF AN MSG REACTION: Anxiety, Burning Sensations, Confusion, Cramps, Depression, Difficulty Concentrating, Dizziness, Excessive Hunger, Excessive Thirst, Flushing, Headaches, Heart Palpitations, Hyperactivity, Hypertension, Lethargy, Moodiness, Nausea, Numbness, Rapid Pulse, Seizures, Skin Rash, Sweating, Swelling, Tension.
  • FOODS THAT MAY CONTAIN MSG:  Accent®, Bouillon, Canned Tuna, Cold Cuts, Dry Milk, Fish Extract, Flavored Chips, Fried Chicken, Frozen Dinners, Gravy Mix, Hotdogs, Instant Noodles, Instant Soup Mix, Mayonnaise, Parmesan Cheese, Prepared Mustard, Prepared Soups, Processed Cheese Spread, Processed Meats, Protein Drink Powder, Restaurant Gravy, Restaurant Soup, Salad Dressing, Sausage, Seaweed Extract, Self Basting Poultry, Soy Sauce, Whey Powder, Worcestershire Sauce.
  • FOOD ADDITIVES CONTAINING MSG:  Autolyzed Yeast, Beet Coloring, Calcium Caseinate, Carrageenan, Dough Conditioners, Glutamic Acid, Hydrolyzed Protein, Modified Food Starch, Natural Flavors, Sodium Caseinate, Soy Protein Isolate, Textured Protein, Yeast Extract.

REFINED SUGAR.  The Common American Diet is loaded with sugar since it is added to most processed foods.  After eating sugar, the immune system is suppressed for up to four hours.  Sugar also lowers the metabolism making weight loss more difficult.  Refined sugars such as cane sugar, beet sugar, and corn sweeteners are thought to be responsible for a number of degenerative diseases ranging from diabetes to arthritis.  Sugar devastates mineral metabolism, especially calcium and phosphorus metabolism.  Calcium is essential to healthy nerves and muscle.  Calcium and phosphorus together are the main building materials of bone.  In addition, minerals are the fuels for electrical and chemical activity, which regulates the body functions.  After eating sugar, blood sugar levels typically rise sharply, then drop staying low for hours, and that lowers the metabolism making weight loss more difficult.

Other maladies caused by eating sugar are immune system suppression, tooth decay, weight gain, and acute emotional distress.  Although sugar is not a carcinogen on its own, it does set the stage for cancer growth by forcing the body into an over-acid condition.  Cancer must have an acid environment in order to exist and that is exactly what refined sugar provides.  Sugar contributes to cancer in another way.  After eating sugar, the immune system can be suppressed for four hours or more.  People who consume foods with sugar all day long continually have a suppressed immune system.

Children are most vulnerable to the problems caused by eating sugar.  They become depressed, hyperactive, and anti-social.  The emotional problems caused by eating sugar can stay with them the rest of their life.  Caring parents should not allow their children to eat sugar.

MILK PRODUCTS.  Milk products cause most digestive problems including Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).  Weight loss is difficult with milk products in the everyday diet, because milk is a food for babies.  It is a designer food, which is designed by God to put fat on babies so that they will have a cushion to fall back on after they are weaned and begin to forage for themselves.  Cow’s milk is a food for baby cows.  It can be devastating to humans because the protein in cow’s milk is impossible to fully digest and in our late teens production of  the enzyme lactase slows which is needed to digest milk sugar.  Milk products other than clarified butter may cause the following illnesses:

  • EAR AND THROAT INFECTION.  Many medical specialists feel that chronic-infections of the ears, nose, and throat are caused by milk products.  Milk, buttermilk, cheese, yogurt, and cottage cheese contain large protein molecules that are difficult for humans to digest.  An allergic reaction to milk protein weakens the immune system and leads to bacterial infections of the ears, nose, and throat.
  • GASTROINTESTINAL DISTRESS.  Milk products commonly cause digestive problems.  Allergic reactions to milk causes belching, bloating, colitis, constipation, diarrhea, flatulence, GERD, indigestion, and hemorrhoids.  Also, milk combines with white flour, and meat to pack the diverticula in the colon causing diverticulitis.  The result is a putrefied colon, which poisons the entire body.

  • OSTEOPOROSIS.  The United States leads the world in per-capita milk consumption.  We also have more cases of osteoporosis than other countries.  Some researchers claim that milk pulls calcium from bones causing them to become weak and brittle.  Just to be on the safe side, anyone prone to osteoporosis should avoid milk and get calcium from food supplements and vegetable sources rich in calcium.

BAKING POWDER.  A lot of baking powder contains Aluminum Silicate as the rising agent.  Foods that contain baking powder are biscuits, pancakes, flour tortillas and other baked goods.  Like the aluminum residue from cookware, the Aluminum Silicate is thought to be a factor in Alzheimer's disease and senility.

Read labels to find baking powder made with Calcium Phosphate, which works better than the Aluminum Silicate baking powder and avoids the health risk completely.  Also, many packaged products now list non-aluminum baking powder.

COFFEE.  It is best to never drink coffee.  Excessive consumption of coffee elevates the pulse rate, over-stimulates the nerves, and puts a great burden on the kidneys and adrenal glands. There is a danger in drinking even small amounts of coffee because it blocks the absorption of minerals.  In addition, coffee is a diuretic, which pulls minerals from the body as water is expelled.  When the urge for coffee is overpowering it should be limited to an occasional cup - but never more than one cup in a day.  Diabetics or pre-diabetics should never drink coffee, not even ½ cup a week.

Drinking decaffeinated coffee is not much different than drinking regular coffee.  Coffee is made up of 108 chemicals, and figure into the health dangers of coffee drinking.  Decaffeinated coffee has only one chemical removed and that, of course, is the caffeine.  So, decaffeinated coffee is not much better than regular coffee.

SALT.  Processed foods typically contain a lot of salt.  Too much salt can cause hypertension and other health problems.  A small amount of the right kind of salt in the diet is beneficial.  It is best to lightly salt food during preparation and then add a little more at the table as needed.  However, the right kind of salt must be used to avoid health problems.

Ordinary table salt is hardened by boiling it in a vacuum for 24 hours and adding several other minerals and iodine.  The resulting product is no longer healthful dietary salt, but a very stable product that does not form clumps in the salt shaker, which is the reason for stabilizing it to begin with.  Unfortunately, the stabilized salt causes problems in the arteries because most of it does not breakdown and creates a brine solution in the blood.  The brine solution is very abrasive to the mucosa of the artery walls causing inflammation.  The body responds by producing a protective layer of low-density cholesterol to protect the arteries.  Stabilized salt together with trans-fat contribute to heart disease.

There are two good sources of natural salt available.  The least expensive is Canning and Pickling Salt from the grocery store.  It is unhardened, pure salt.  Another source is Air Dried Sea Salt available at natural food markets.  Make sure that the label reads air dried sea salt and shows no additives.  Unhardened sea salt should be a brownish or beige color.  If it is pure white, it may be hardened.

SOY PRODUCTS.  Soy products are touted as being a more healthful food than meat but that is incorrect, because soy products contain anti-nutrients.  Soy has some good points such as no animal fat, and some good chemicals similar to estrogen.   However, soy products contain anti-nutrients that more than offset the good nutrients.  Two senior US government scientists, Drs. Daniel Doerge and Daniel Sheehan, have revealed that chemicals in soy increase the risk of breast cancer in women, brain damage in both men and women, and abnormalities in infants. Other scientists say that soy products lead to health problems including altering sexual development of fetuses and thyroid disorders.  Soy products should be excluded from the diet altogether.
